Who are the Teachers and Staff at the WEF Summer Camp?Each camp is led by an experienced local teacher and/or professional, assisted by camp counselors including high school and college students with experience and interest working with children. The WEF Staff consists of the Camp Director and LPN who have been trained in CPR, AED and First Aid.

What are the Camp's Health and Safety Protocols?The WEF follows the health and safety protocols of the Wayne Township Public Schools as it relates to hand washing, optional mask wearing and sanitizing. If your camper has a fever, please do not send them to camp until they are fever free for 24 hours without medication.

Parent/Guardian and Camper ParticipationParent/Guardian and Camper Participation and Agreement We understand that drop-off/pick-up procedures will be emailed prior to the start of camp and we will adhere to them. we may not leave our camper(s) unless a staff member is present at the facility. there is NO before or aftercare available. we must provide PROMPT transportation for our camper(s) a the start and end of each camp day. refund requests must be submitted in writing by emailing wayneeducationfoundation@gmail.com fourteen (14) business days prior to the first day of camp. The refund processing fee is $20.00 per camp. Fees will not be prorated for late enrollment, missed classes or non-attendance.

Camps run Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 12n to 2:30 p.m. Morning drop-off runs from 8:30 - 9 a.m., Afternoon drop-off runs from 11:45 a.m. to 12n and pick-up is at 2:30 p.m. sharp (3:00 p.m. for ArtQuest).

Medical TreatmentMedical Treatment and Hold Harmless Acknowledgements I have no knowledge of any physical impairment that could adversely affect my child's health or wellbeing when participating in this camp. I hereby grant permission for my child to be given first aid by Camp Personnel. In the event of an emergency in which my child requires medical care, I grant permission for my child to be provided with emergency medical treatment. I will be responsible for any medical or other charges in connection with my child's attendance in this camp. I will assume all risk of harm that may result in the event including, but not limited to, injury, illness (including Covid-19), disability, damage, loss or death that may result from the event or the activities engaged in during the event.

What to Know About Camp*Camps run Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 12n to 2:30 p.m. Morning drop-off runs from 8:30 - 9 a.m., Afternoon drop-off runs from 11:45 a.m. to 12n and pick-up is at 2:30 p.m. sharp (3:00 p.m. for campers enrolled in our theatre camp - ArtQuest). The WEF offers half day and full day camps. If your camper is staying full day, there will be a "bring your own" lunch break in the Commons Lunch Room from 11:30 to 12:00 and is supervised by Staff and Teachers. Campers may stay a full day by choosing a half day morning camp and a half day afternoon camp and/or registering for one of our full-day camps. Our morning camps run from 9-11:30am and our afternoon camps run from 12-2:30pm. If campers are attending full-day, please send in each day a drink and a brown bag lunch for campers to eat. Campers should also bring a water bottle and snack each day of camp. If your camper is registered for morning and afternoon sessions, the WEF staff will get your camper to lunch and to their afternoon session. Campers may be inside and outside during the day. Please send campers dressed for the weather including comfortable, lightweight clothes and sneakers. No flip-flops please. This includes pre-applying sunscreen before the camp day starts.

Photo ReleaseI give consent for staff to photograph my camper with the understanding that the camper's image may be used by the WEF for promotional materials, including the WEF website, social media, and local news media. If I DO NOT give consent for a photo release, I will email the WEF at wayneeducationfoundation@gmail.com before the start of camp with my child(ren)'s name(s) to let them know.

Where is the camp located?All WEF camps are located at Wayne Hills High School, 272 Berdan Ave, Wayne, NJ 07470.

Who is eligible to attend the WEF Summer Camp program?All campers, those in Wayne, NJ, as well as neighboring community campers may register for grade level appropriate camps. Registration is based on the grade level for the upcoming year (2023-2024). Please contact us at wayneeducationfoundation@gmail.com if you have a question regarding your child’s placement.

Campers should also bring a water bottle and snack each day of camp. If your camper is registered for morning and afternoon sessions, the WEF staff will get your camper to lunch and to their afternoon session.
